2014

The third edition of ELCAF took place at Oval Space in Hackney, with the internationally celebrated cartoonist Chris Ware as our artist-in-residence. Best known as the creator of the Acme Novelty Library, Ware created a name for himself through his complex story telling alongside his distinctly recognisable style, often famed for his cut out kits. His graphic novel, Jimmy Corrigan, the Smartest Kid on Earth, won the 2001 Guardian First Book Award; the first time a graphic novel has won a major UK book award.

Alongside Chris, a host of artists from around the world were part of ELCAF 2014, including Seth, Anouk Ricard, Jesse Moynihan, Mattias Adolfson, and many more.
